The Kodak story, a writer’s perfect plot for a movie which will keep viewers interested, captivated, engaged and at times puzzled

    April 26, 2020

A conversation on innovation and continuous improvement can’t be completed unless someone refers “See what really happened to Kodak” and this is my experience in the last couple of years, you might have heard of more anecdotes, would love to hear for sure. So what really happened to Kodak, a question when I started seeking an answer, realized Google gives 8,70,000 results. There you go, you have 8,70,000 stories on Kodak hence I will not create a new one, will keep this post merely for academic purpose, a compilation all interesting things about Kodak journey. Kodak was founded by George Eastman and Henry A. Strong on September 4, 1888, a fine organization…

Boredom is freedom, absurd thinking is refreshing

    April 26, 2020

Saturday morning is special and not on the account of the weekend but because I managed to get bored and delve into absurd thinking which I cherished, I might do it often. I was sitting on the couch and had absolutely nothing to do, lots of things to do but didn’t want it to happen and that’s how I got into boredom & absurd thinking. I wasn’t that disciplined self-today, wasn’t active in the morning, didn’t really gather all the energy to hit the ground running and follow dreams, for a change I had not dreams today, it was a black hole. Sat there for an hour and did nothing, just…

Why do we make fun of others pronunciation of a foreign language ?

    March 1, 2020

Trump said Sucheen Tendulkar and Modi said, Dolan Trump and people had a good laugh at it. Some really took it lightly and few of us, were deeply sarcastic and made fun of the gentleman. Making of fun of others is truly human as it makes us feel good and probably drives a sense of superiority , that’s human behaviour, if you can’t match up, pull them down at your level, it’s considered as win or a falsified sense of win, egoistic satisfaction. All of my life so far, I have genuinely struggled with pronunciation of my adapted language but still have managed to survive, I learn and correct it.…

I envy a lot and probably that makes me human and focused

    February 22, 2020

Read a news last week, a young man in 30’s is now a CEO and is self made, I can’t even complain that he is lucky and has inherited wealth because he did not. This is all ok, he owns XC90, my dream car and here I am, keep moving my car service due date to avoid cost and get a false sense of saving. Not all dreams have to be successful, some are always aspirational and that’s the way it should be. Dream as big as you want but dream, push really hard, results will come. Being envious is perfectly fine, it helps us, you will be become self…

    CAA: Why are Muslims excluded?

    December 26, 2019

We are seeing a lot of protests against the recently passed CAA bill in the parliament. The bill was passed in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha with a clear majority which means most of our elected representatives agree with the bill. So why are these protests happening? While trying to get the root of this problem, it was noticed that the majority of the people haven’t even read the bill or if they have then not in conjunction with the Citizenship Act 1955 or they really have no comprehension of what it means. The very first thing every citizen of the country must do in such controversial times…

Mother India loves us but do we really love her back with the same intensity and care

    August 16, 2019

Hypocrisy is out inbuilt trait, expressing love for mother India, displaying is the easiest act of this out inbuilt nature. Today is 15 aug and I will carry big flags on bike and car, unfurl it on the balcony and thus become of a true patriot. I am going to shout at Happy Independence Day at the pick of highest decibel possible. I was looking at pre-independence day euphoria yesterday, flags being sold in abundance which is great but action after that was disturbing. Huge flags being carried on bikes and no one is wearing a helmet, the height of the flag in incomplete proportion thus risking rider and pillion…

The Paper Money fron Kashmir had the Sun motif of the Dogra family

    August 11, 2019

Paper Money in Kashmir was issued sometime in 1877 in the reign of Maharaja Ranbir Singh on watermarked paper. The notes were not very popular and were in circulation for a very short period. The notes carried the ‘Sun’ motif of the Dogra family. The calendar systems used on these notes for the date was Vikram Samvat and months were taken from the Saka Samvat. The central panel carries the inscription in Nagari: “Shrikar”; the two panels on both sides of the sun contain numbers: and the three circles on the left and on the right centers carry the numeral value in Persian, Nagari and Dogri. All these panels and…

How far can you go, if you do, do you have a plan come back?

    August 11, 2019

We all are chasing something, things which make us happy, elated, extraordinary and at times privileged. No matter what your is chase is, do you have plans to come back where you started, it’s beautiful out here at the start. In my growing years, I was always attracted to big cities, multistory buildings, the glitter of the modern society and having seen all those over year’s, the desire to go back is sinking in. This is not what I am meant for, this is not what I wanted, this was just a delusion. The city did offer comfort and luxury but not peace. Do you remember the urge to type…
