I talk to people and gather their understating of joy, happiness, spirituality and self awareness and each one of us different ways to handle the metaphors but what was the consistent message, the mountains 🏔. People go with different objectives, some as travellers, a large section for tirtha, few as trekkers and marginal few with the objective to conquer the night mountains.

Some excerpts from historically available transcripts and books 📚
“The Himalaya is a great devatatma, a great spiritual presence, stretching from the west to the eastern sea like a measuring rod to gauge the world’s greatness.” – wrote Kalidasa, Ancient Indian poet.
“Of the immovable things
I am the mighty Himalayas”.
- The Bhagavad Gita, Tenth Discourse; Shloka 2.5.
In the space of a hundred ages of the Gods, I could not describe to you the glories of Himachal; that Himachal where Siva dwells and where the Ganges falls like the tendril of a lotus from the foot of Vishnu. There are no other mountains like Himachal, for there are found Mount Kailas and Lake Manasarovar. As the dew is dried up by the morning sun, so are the sins of mankind by the sight of Himachal, excerpts from the book by book by Edwin Bernbaum (University of California Press, 1997).
Over the course of 1000 years and beyond, mountains have touched our lives and souls, the calmness you achieve when you reach a peak can’t be defined in words. The majestic looks of peaks takes you closer to the god and it makes you feel, how small you are in universe, no matter how powerful you are, someone is above you !
When was the last time you vsited mountains and felt the inner peace or did you find it somewhere else, we would love to hear from you !
